Sledding... Kinda
We were on our way to go sledding because my brothers and sister went 3 days before me and Ashton came. So the parents thought it would be OK. Well guess what? WRONG!!!!!!!!! It wasn't. We were going to our favorite hill. We got there and Mom said "turn the car around."... And that's when it happened. We were backing up and when Dad put the van in drive. He said "um, were stuck." "can you try and get us out?"said my mom so he tried, but it got worse. so my dad said " here get in my seat and I'll push." " OK."said my mom. So my dad started to push my mom was driving and he started to say "I cant d" and before he could finish the word "do" I said " I can help you push." "OK, but just you ." So I helped. But when my dad and I needed a rest, I didn't take the offer. I went and gathered twigs. I put the twigs under the tires.
Me and my dad kept trying to push when a truck came by. We stopped pushing and said, We're kind of stuck as you can see. He said "I can see. do you need help?" "Sure, If you can."
We got it out after we all pushed. The other dude said, "I'll follow you and make sure you don't get stuck again."
Good thing he did. Because, my mom turned to sharp.... And back into snowbank we go.
Me and my dad were like, "Oh gosh!" We went over and she said, "oops, I turned too sharp."
I was thinking, "ya think?" But, I didn't say that. (To give my mom credit, even 4X4 trucks were getting stuck.) So that other dude was our life saver because we needed help even more this time. The snow was two feet deep.
I thought "OK, I guess I'll go and get twigs" Since we were going sledding we had our snow disks. My dad started to shovel it out with the other guy, while I got stuck getting twigs. I came back with hand fulls of twigs and my dad took them and shoved them under the tires. We start to push and we hear a truck. We stopped what we were doing and watched. Well he thought he was 'Mr. Cool', so he went where it was steep and with 3 feet of snow. Well he got stuck and I was thinking, "OMG." We were looking over as he was shiftin the gears so fast I couldn't tell if he was trying to go forward or backwards. I stood there with my jaw open in shock. His girlfriend or wife got out of their truck. 'Mr. Cool' was right behind her, getting out of the passenger side too. He said sonofa @#$@&!!! He was not happy!!!
We continued to get our van out (or try). It took a while but it finely caught traction. (The twigs and the shoveling WORKED!!!)
We pushed it into the ruts in the road. We had to reverse out until we it pavement which was about a mile back. My dad was a totally awesome backwards driver!
We got it back to the pavement so my dad said, " we should get this thing in drive." So there was a open spot in the side of the road were all of the other cars were parked. when we put it in drive the tires just spun I said, "Oh gosh." We got it out but we said "no more snow!"
We started heading towards home. Just a ways down the road we could see kids playing on a hill. It was a steep hill that was perfect for sledding on. For a bonus, it had a paved road to get to it. Even after the crazy stressful afternoon, Mom and Dad said "WHAT THE HECK, LET'S GO SLEDDING!" So that was our adventurous Christmas day.

Our Cat

This is a stray cat that thinks he's ours but, he's not.
My mom says we can't have a pet, EVER!!! My mom lets him sleep in the house, he has a litter box in the house, she buys him cat food, a flee collar and brushes. He also has a cat house in the back yard.... But, HE IS DEFINITELY NOT OURS!!!
We named him 'Link' because that's what he looked like to us. (LYNX) He is one of the sleepiest cats I ever met!
We now let him in the house and we are happy because there are no more mice or other desert critters that come in our yard.

-Layton Surf'n Swim Fun-
The Friday after Thanksgiving, we went to Layton Surf n Swim to go swimming. We had a lot of fun swimming in the waves. I like to dive through the waves and have gotten really good at body surfing. My favorite part was when Dad brought us LOTS of nachos. They were so yummy! Our historic tradition after we go swimming there is to go to Krispy Kreme Doughnut factory/store. I like watching the doughnuts going through the cycle of being made. The best part is eating the hot freshly glazed doughnuts.- My mouth waters just thinking about it.
